I enjoy gardens and plants and work as a garden designer and a gardener creating and looking after gardens so that others can enjoy their own outdoor space – be it for growing favourite flowers and vegetables or for simply relaxing in with friends and family.
Some years ago I decided to change my career and influenced by my love of gardens and plants I left the corporate world and retrained at Merrist Wood College in Surrey obtaining their Diploma in Garden Design in 2003. This was followed by a Diploma in Plants and Plantsmanship from The English Gardening School and the Royal Horticultural Society General Certificate in Horticulture.
Since then I have created designs for a wide variety of gardens from small courtyards to larger country gardens and won 2 RHS medals at Hampton Court Flower Show. A move from Surrey to the beautiful Wye Valley means that I now work primarily in Herefordshire and the neighbouring counties of Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire.
Inspiration and ideas for gardens can come from many places – the lovely meadow in the picture is in the inspirational gardens of Hampton Court near Leominster – just one of the many gardens to visit in Herefordshire.
